What is an SR-22 Insurance?
Sometimes referred to as an SR22 bond or form, this is a certificate of financial responsibility. You can purchase one through an insurance agency. The SR22 certifies that you own the state required insurance. Many times, this is purchased because it is required by court.
How do I know if I need SR-22 Insurance?
Usually the only time you would need an SR-22 would be when you are required to get one by a judge. Some of the common reasons you might need an SR-22 are:

You are only required to meet the minimum insurance requirements within your state. How do I get an SR-22?
An SR-22 can be obtained by an Insurance Agency that is authorized to file to form. Access Insurance has certified agent that can walk you through the process. Once your insurance is purchased, Access will file the SR22 form to obtain your certificate. You can NOT file for an SR-22 yourself; an authorized agent must do this. How long will the SR-22 be on file?
Your SR-22 policy can range and may be different depending on your state. In Indiana and Arizona it is from one to five years, depending on the violation. The average amount of time is 2-3 years. You should not cancel your policy until the required time has been met or your license may be suspended by the state.Once you are no longer required to maintain your SR-22 you can call your insurance provider and have it removed from your policy.
Does my SR-22 Expire?
You policy will not expire if you continue to pay the premium and keep your policy active.
